I’ve applied to jobs and employers haven’t reached out to me. What should I do?

Don’t worry!

There are a lot of ways you can improve your Oliv profile and applications.

But first, let’s take a step back and go over how you can check if employers have tried to reach out.

Your Oliv Dashboard

If you go to your Jobs dashboard, you’ll be able to see if your application has been reviewed by an employer and you’ll also be able to see which stage your application is in.

Employers may choose to call or email you so keep your phone with you and check the spam folder in your inbox.

Employers can also reach out to you using the Chat feature on the Oliv platform itself so keep an eye out for that as well.

Resources to improve your application

Here are a few tips to help you improve your profile, application materials, and the chance of getting your application reviewed:

If you’re comfortable, highlight your personality and communication skills through a video resume as these are important characteristics a hiring manager won’t be able to see through your profile or CV.

Remember, you can add more than one document to your profile or your application, so if you have a portfolio, writing samples, or any other example of work, go ahead and attached those to make your application stronger.
