Responsibilities
Chemical engineering interns will support their team with the following under direct supervision:
- Work with the Research & Development team on running simulations and implementing tests
- Prepare reports by researching, analyzing and summarizing information
- Enter data in product databases
- Conduct equipment tests, materials, and processes under direct supervision of technical, support, and engineering staff
- Review special instructions of projects and technical drawings to understand test/product/service specifications, objectives, procedures, and equipment
- Record technical data including test procedures and graphical and numerical data
- Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing industry/trade publications, networking with professionals, and attending educational workshops
Requirements
- Eligible majors: Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field, etc.
- A strong desire to learn and keep up to date with technology changes and innovation
- Good communication skills to be able to clearly explain ideas, design, and instruction
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
- Attention to detail and contentiousness is crucial
- Excellent knowledge of advanced mathematical skills
- Confidence to work under pressure and deliver projects on quick turnarounds
- Ability to work well in a team
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
